It’s a great time to use cause marketing to promote your product and your brand. While the typical packaging uses a pink ribbon to signify their support other companies are just going pink.

Believe it or not we have come a long way baby in utilizing cause marketing as a branding tool.

This month I’m sharing examples of new an innovative packaging that’s using the trademark “pink packaging” to build their brands.

Yoplait started the revolution with their pink lid campaign.

Now others are taking advantage of the pink wave of popularity. Just one caution: if you are using the pink ribbon to brand be sure your claim is valid and substantiated. It’s not enough to just say the words you have to live them though out the brand. Be sure you have you facts and figures accurate and no hidden surprises such as chemicals in your product that might cause breast cancer or any cancer for that matter.

Love this concept: Clinique Limited-edition Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion comes with a pink bracelet and two charms. How fun is this? I’d buy it because of the packaging and the color of course.
